Gantry Movement not Sync'd

I’m still in the ‘getting to know you’ phase, and doing some miscellaneous projects. I’ve had a few occasions where I get a error (10) during initialization, and the issue is always the left side of the gantry not engaging the sensor. I’ve verified measurement (X) and it’s properly set. I’ve found that disabling the power, manually pushing the right side forward about 1/2 inch, then redoing the init usually solves this issue.

However, during my latest run I noticed the left side always lags behind the right on any Y movements, forward or back. I also noticed the stepper motor turns on occasion (on the left side), but doesn’t result in any movement.

Is there some type of adjustment for this slack/lash? Is there a calibration that I can run?

Thanks in advance

This can be disregarded.

If you’re encountering this, there are ‘clamps’ between the stepper motors and the screw drive. On my unit, it was loose enough to allow about 6 to 10 mm of lash, and this was causing gmb010 errors, as well as repeatability mis-alignment.

Cheers
