Getting better 3D carves

OK fellow CNCers, I need some help please. I’m in the process of cutting the Chessboard Dead. I’m using Carbide Create Pro for my software. I have the roughing done and have started the finish paths. I can’t seem to get my Chessboard letters, numbers or the designs within the chessboard to be very pronounced. Also the two figures on the sides don’t seem to show much height either. My stock started at 1.328" thick. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Did you change the imported model/pixel image from the default 3mm height?

I changed it to 0.236 which is almost 6mm. I just tried going with 0.375" - 0 437". It looks better.
