Getting wear inside my router nut

I’ve gotten some wear inside the router nut, and now there seems to be less pressure on the collets. I had a bit slipping on me yesterday no matter how much I tightened the nut.

Is there a fix for this? Just buy a new nut (and if so, from where?) Or use some form of washer? Or something else?

I’m sure the wear is from me not doing things right, like having sawdust in it before tightening it down, letting it start to slip. Not blaming the product.

This is weird, my collet nut still has paint on it. I wonder if there was play between the collets and the nut. I would not mess with this and just purchase a new collet nut for your router.

Please send that in to us at support@carbide3d.com and we’ll do our best to work through this with you.
