Who knew I would get excited about receiving a caliper…
This thing looks like my earlier 20$ one, but this is just night and day.
Anyway, no specific reason to post this, just sharing the love for quality tools.
And this plastic box won’t do, I’ll have to cut a custom wooden one soon.

Very nice acquisition. The difference in feel, in reliability, and in repeatability, relative to a $20 caliper surprises many people more than the difference in price. But well worth it, in my opinion.
(The cheapies are much better than nothing, but they are not the same. Really.)
A nice wood case will make it all the better.
