Help centering circles in stars

All,

Can someone point me in the right direction? I’m going in circles (no pun intended) trying to perfectly center the circle in the star. I’ve tried selecting the star first, the circle first, grouping them, etc. Nothing seems to work in the alignment editor.

Thanks!

technically this is the center, as in “halfway point between top and bottom”

what you could do is draw a few lines, from the point to the opposing “inside point”
you only need 2 of those to get a intersection where you want to place the center of the circle
(need to turn off snap-to-grid for this)

other option is to make a circle that is the outer of the points of the star
and then you can align the center of your little circle to that

I find it easiest to use the scale thing to get the sizing box and center it’s center point on a grid intersection. I’m using I think an older version of Carbide create, so there may be a better way to do that.

Draw a circle of a size which the star is properly circumscribed in, center the circle w/in that:

Thanks guys! I get the concept now!

(Now I need to figure out how to replicate it 50 times   )
