Help with How to Create Arc

I am working on a sled that needs an arc cut that is 7 inches from the center of a 1/4 inch hole. I drew the two circles that are 1/4 inch apart and on the file I drew a triangle that represents the 30 degree from the center line I need the arc to follow.

I do not want anyone to edit and give me a file I want help figuring out how to make the arc either with Boolean or other method to get this 1/4 wide arc.

Thanks

Here is my c2d file: wedgie_sled_base_01302021.c2d (18.2 KB)

Here is one way to do what I believe you want:

  • select the outer circle and the geometry which defines the arc

  • Boolean Intersection

  • with the larger than desired geometry selected, shift click on the inner circle so as to make it the key element (dashed highlight)

  • Boolean Subtraction:

  • delete the extraneous circle

Will, Thank you. I knew someone would have an answer to my issue.wedgie_sled_base_bottom_01302021.c2d (285.0 KB)
Your instructions worked. I had the original slot mirrored and put at the top and then used the offset tool to make another pocket for a carriage bolt centered on the slot you helped me with. I got the whole thing worked out and saved. It is too late to cut tonight. Not because it is too late but because I am tired and you do not want to work on 3hp table saws when you are tired. I will get it done tomorrow

This project is in three parts. First is the bottom of the sled, second is the top of the sled which is holes for an Incra 18 inch miter bar and third are the fences for the top.

Thanks again for your help.
