HM006: The controller was reset during homing
HM006 is equivalent to GRBL Alarm 6, meaning that the machine’s controller reset itself in the middle of the homing process. This should never happen in everyday use.
The best course of action is to restart the machine and redo the initialization process in Carbide Motion. If the problem persists, it’s likely a bad electronics module, but the support team can help you troubleshoot to verify that.
Power down and unplug the machine and wait 30 minutes or so.
While waiting, verify everything electro-mechanically and that the machine can move through the full range of motion for each axis and reboot your computer and slowly/gently move the machine to the center of motion for each axis.
After 30 minutes or so, power up and connect to the machine and go to Settings | Debug — are any homing switches stuck on? Test each switch by presenting metal to it — does each promptly signal as the correct axis?
Try to initialize, if that doesn’t work, check in at support@carbide3d.com and let them know what you found out.
