Homing cycle fail

I went to start a new job and got this error. Tried going through new machine set up and same error. Solution???

There is a list of error codes at:

https://my.carbide3d.com/faq/error-codes/

8 links to:

https://my.carbide3d.com/docs/troubleshooting-homing/

so I tested all the switches as indicated and they all light up as they should. cleaned the areas in front of the switches. tried to initialize and same error.

  1. The vacuum hose is draped over an axis so that it blocks any motion. The vacuum hose should never rest on the machine; it should be suspended over the machine.

i ensure the hose does not block the movement. however it is NOT suspended over the machine. I am typically holding the hose.

In order to initialize:

  • the homing switches have to be working — in addition to lighting up, each needs to signal as the correct switch under Active Inputs

  • each switch needs to be positioned so that it will be triggered

  • the machine needs to be able to move so as to present structure to each switch to trigger it — is the matching structure secure and in place? Can the machine actually move?

Note step-by-step what the machine does and investigate what it does not.

Normal sequence is:

  • machine lifts and homes Z-axis
  • machine begins moving X- and Y-axes towards the back right corner
  • when a given switch triggers the machine stops moving along the matching axis
  • when all axes are at the top right back corner the machine should jog to activate each swtich, then back off

It’s working again….another belt tension issue.
