How are we expected to tighten these?

Both of them for my y axis are free spinning.

I imagine that they are not supposed to come loose. I would talk to support on that.

Ive already sent support a message. Was just hoping to get a quick answer from so folks on here if anyone else delt with this. Nothing on this machine was loctited and every single bolt was loose when I got it. Its getting tiring to constantly be in a state of whats gonna blow up next on this thing.

On the Y screws there are “flats” for an open end wrench ground into the ballscrew shaft.

So I take it I run the gantry to the front of the machine then tighten the nut using that flat and a wrench on the nut in the coupler housing then re rack the gantry by pulling it fully into the frame in the front?

In my personal experience, correct.

Loctite the nut, and tighten, not gorilla tight though.

Home the machine then run it all the way forward. Turn off power, physically pull the unpowered gantry as far forward as possible. Power up and home.
