In this photo, the letters are kind of messed up. My own doings on this piece. My real question is, how do I get the letters to be taller so they stand out better? This is my first attempt to add something to a 3D carving. In the red area, I somehow had the time twice and slightly offset.

Exaggerated, but Scale height may help, or, add a Base Height:
