How small can Shapeoko cut?

Is it possible to cut out the rope around the border or is it too small? The whole logo will only be 3". TIA!

Depends on the material, tooling, and which Shapeoko model.

Also the toolpath — this design would cut well as an Advanced V Carving:

That said, for such a small/detailed job, I’d consider resetting the type (looks to be ITC Friz Quadrata at a guess) — do you have the original graphic to verify that?

I have the Shapeoko 4XXL. Here’s the file. How does advanced Vcarve work? I see there are two tools listed. What bit/s do I use? This was a huge help so thank you!

Advanced V carve works by cutting along the perimeter of the design (as opposed to a normal V carve which cuts down the center of open areas) and adds an option for pocket clearing flat regions with a second tool.

Importing that we can see some places where things don’t quite line up:

Zooming in, it’s pretty straight-forward to improve things at least a bit;

One other potential point of improvement would be to draw one good border element and to then repeat it around the border:

The font seems to be a slab serif, possibly Memphis or Rockwell.

Identifying and resetting that is left as an exercise for the reader.
