How to cut a 6 x 6 1" Cast Acrylic

I did a search but didn’t find any info. Just general advice.

I’d like to make a tray out of 6 x 6 1" cast acrylic

I have the #201 set, 10 minutes for a 4x5 pocket, not too bad but rather use the bowl and tray bit for a nice bottom corner radius but I don’t see it on the list.

Once cut you have tool marks correct? Which will clean up clear with buffing.

I recall a trick from my sign days you could take a torch to the edges of cut sheets to polish them clear. Anyone ever try that?

My ulterior motive is to make a Dan Armstrong body down the line when I’m confident I can cut a slab that big and expensive.

Thanks

Use a ball-nosed tool, say a #202 along the perimeter for a rounded bottom:

@WillAdams I like how you moved that project off the work area to get that profile view, that’s a good idea.

Thank you sir! Ill report back asap.
