How to find the Material

I’m very confused on how can I tell the machine where my material is on the table, from the width, length , and the height of my acrylic.

When you open up Carbide Create the Job Set up screen defines the dimensions of your material. You also tell CC where the origin of X Y and Z are. The Setup can be bigger than the objects but you can also make the set up the same size as your material if you do not need to cut out the outside of the project.

Then after saving the project you send it to a gcode sender like Carbide Motion. In motion after initialization you jog to the origin you defined in CC and set your X Y and Z zeros. The load the job and start cutting. A lot of people use the lower left corner as X and Y origin and use a BitZero to set that. Most also use top of material as the origin and with the BitZero you can set X Y and Z all at once… There are other places to set the origin but keep it simple until you get a few projects under your belt.
