Given a design:
which we want to be rounded and symmetrical and closed, what are the ways in which this could be done?
First, move the original to a new layer and lock it:
Then, try just drawing things up as discrete shapes:
using align to ensure that everything is centered:
To fill in the gaps for the angles, use a polyline to draw in a closed shape which aligns:
Select and union everything:
Use the “Fillet All” command to round things:
Or, use the Fillet tool to selectively round things:
Note that the amount can be adjusted on the fly:
until one arrives at:
