  1. When I first bought the machine I could pause the machine and the z would go up.
  2. Only carbide create file will the machine pause and the Z goes up away from material.
  3. Another file I use it will not pause and retract up

Which post-processor are you using? It should be Carbide 3D Shapeoko.

What is your safety/retract height set to?
