How to use PUA encoded characters in Carbide Create

Is there a way to add PUA encoded characters to your text in Carbide Create?

First you will need a font that supports those characters. Since it’s PUA (Private Use Area), that’s going to be completely font specific.

Once you have that, then likely the easiest way to get those characters is to use CharMap (built into Windows). You can look through all the characters supported by the font, select the ones you want, then Copy / Paste in CC using a Text object with the right font.

TrueType fonts work well. The fonts have a standard and some independent font makers do not adhere to standards. CC may not work with some font makers.

Not in Carbide Create.

You will need to set the text in a 3rd party tool, save the file (with text as text), re-save under a different name, then use a command in your tool to convert type to paths and export as an SVG using appropriate settings.
