HTML Interface in Carbide Motion 5.13

I just got my Shapeoko last week. I have successfully made 6 different projects so far. I read that I can open a browser on my iPad and connect to my windows PC on port 8080 to control the Shapeoko. CM is controlling the machine perfectly on my PC. When I try to connect remotely on port 8080 I just get connection refused. Is this feature no longer available? I ran netstat on my PC and don’t even see anything listening on port 8080.

This feature was removed in the latest versions of CM
EDIT: more precisely, this was done in the 5xx versions
(release note for 500: “Move from web-based window to native code”)

Thanks. I think I’ll make a mount for my laptop to move it closer to the machine. That should resolve the problem I’m trying to fix.

You may or may not have seen that CM5x supports some game controllers (I don’t know if that is relevant to your needs, just mentioning it)
