I can't believe I found this small black screw!

This screw fell out months ago and I found it yesterday. I’m so pumped!! After all the vacuuming and compressed air etc. I’m very surprised it’s not lost. Will have to take the carriage apart to put it back. Just and FYI if you find something similar. Can be hard to find the spot where it came from.

That is the lubrication port on the linear rail carriage.

It is of potential concern that your nice clean bearings in the linear rail block may now be rumbling through a soup of old oil and sawdust which is less than ideal for their operating lifetime.

At the very least I’d want to flush it through with new oil, might be worth emailing support to ask their view.

Don’t try to take the bearing block off the rail, all the balls fall out and it’s a pain.

Wow yes. This helps immensely. That’s why I love this community! Thank you.

I’ve had 100% success doing it with a steady hand removing the plate and blocks upside down.

Then you can bathe them in alcohol and re-lube.
