I did a video of a guitar I made using the Shapeoko

My third guitar build using the Shapeoko. This one had some issues, but it was my best build yet. Check it out if you can! I got some more really nice wood and gonna do more videos.

Nice guitar.

Last night I was at my grandson’s house. I gave him an Epiphone Flying V guitar a few months ago and made a stand for it. It is in the living room and he was playing it. I also gave him a little Peavy amp a friend had given me. He went and got his custom Jackson 7 string guitar to demonstrate the different sound the Flying v made over the Jackson.

I have built two Hawaiian type guitars you play on your lap. Those were a lot of fun to make. Both of them are still in use by the people i gave them to. They are sort of like a steel guitar they use in Country music. Mostly used for blues playing.

I do not play guitar but enjoy making stuff to give to other people. I enjoyed building the electronics.

I like your blue dye job. I have made some star burst with the yellow and orange with the antique maple laquer spray. That was fun as well in the finishing.

So what type of pickups did you use, strings, tuners and bridge?

This is really cool. This is one of the projects (well, 6 string) I hope one day to do on my Shapeoko. My nephew is a guitar player and I would love to make him a guitar he can use.

I have no idea where to even start though

Thoroughly enjoyed that video. Building life’s soundtrack.
