Hi all,
I am attempting some wooden tongs, which requires two small slots on the “fork” end. My grid spacing is 0.0625, and I have a 1/6" bit loaded. I took the original design and duplicated it 9 times and arranged them to fit my workpiece. Somehow, only ONE of the 18 necessary cuts says that the 1/16" bit will fit to make a slot. The rest will not make a cut, indicating that I should have designed the slot slightly wider, I guess? But I used the measuring tool to confirm that both slots on this particular fork are 0.0625 apart (node to node).
Any ideas on how this ONE slot decided it is capable of making this cut, but not the 17 other identical slots?
