I have recently been using some of Bits & Bits end mills and V bits on my new Shapeoko 5 Pro and i’ve really come to love them
Very nice! I’ve been wanting to try those bits out, they look sharp
I’ve almost entirely switched to bits and bits from Amana, I have been very happy with the performance on them
I’ve been collecting a lot of Bits and Bits
I think I need to make a bit caddy
Not sure if I want to do it out of wood or Acrylic
Thoughts ???
As you use your bits and get comfortable with your abilities and the bits, you will find the ones you use the most and what bit works with the material and cut you are doing.
Most of the ones I use are .125. The .250, I use for removing material quickly. My arsenal goes from .045 to .4375
Have fun, make chips not dust.
I was going to make it out of wood but then decided to go with Acrylic
I ended up making a three-tier bit stand with a placement diagram
For my collection of Bits & Bits
Made with my AEON MIRA 9 Laser out of 3/4" Acrylic and my UV flatbed printer
Added an LED strip to light it up
Just need 5 more Bits and my Collection will be complete
What do you think?
Nice stand.
Bits with bearings on them should never be used on a CNC. If the bearing can be removed it is ok to use. The bearing will not cut, changes the measurement of the bit, and if there is a problem with the tool path, the bearing will cause the CNC to crash into the part. There will be damage to the CNC and possibly to yourself.
Thank you
The back row is 1/4" router bits for templates
And i would never use them for my CNC
The second row are 1/4" CNC bits
The 1/2" bits on the right are flush trim router bits.
The CNC cant do everything so i still have to do things by hand
Thanks for your comment
