I have a Shapeoko 3 xxl! My (Y) homing sensor is busted! Does anyone know if the replacements in store are compatible?? My machine has older sensors!
If you mean push-button mechanical switches, then no, the newer proximity switches are not compatible — you’ll need to update to proximity switches:
If your controller doesn’t have a PCB Expansion Adapter you’ll need to replace it as well.
If you or a friend are handy with a soldering iron, you can just replace the mechanical switch, search here for “Omron” for the part #/purchase link.
