Inconsistance cutting in wood

What is causing this? Letters jagged not clean smooth cuts

Some stripes are clean some stripes product is being left behind.
The stars start off the same size and then trail off.

See pictures.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please.

Looks like the Z-axis was losing steps during the job. And you may have been pushing the feed rate through the V-carves too fast? Or it might just be the wood itself. I see you had it clamped down, but is the board consistently flat? Did it warp/cup while being clamped to the CNC bed?

Sometimes it helps to do an 2nd, full-depth pass through V-carves to help clean up the cut from the fur strands.

Plywood. It was going pretty slow on the vcarves. what explains the stars not going as deep? this took over an hour. everything is default as last week we updated firmware and carbide motion. and nothing was changed in carbide 7. just sent a G-jo. So some of it is my issue.

Which Z-axis is on your machine?

If the speeds/feeds were all reasonable, then next thing to check is the mechanics & wiring harness connections of the Z-axis.
