I know this thread is getting old but thought some of you guys may be interested in this. I also really like working with Renshape but the cost is simply prohibitive. I’ve found a cheaper, off brand supplier of Polyurethane Tooling Board (essentially the same as Renshape) and have a sample on the way to test the quality of it. If all goes well I’m planning on making a large order of it (they require rather large orders).
If you’re interested in getting in on the order or want to try out some of this tooling block yourself message/email me and I can make sure I order enough for you. And you ship whatever amount you want to try.
I’m not sure exactly what the cost will come out to be at this point but should be less than half the cost of Renshape.
