Finally got the beast put together. Tried powering it up and hooked it up to a PC via USB. Had my hand on the frame of the machine and felt an intermittent thump. Took the cover off of the controller board to see that the power light was not staying on but flashing with most all of the blue lights. Turned it off and unplugged the cables coming into the controller . Powered it up to see the same thing. This time I say smoke coming from one of the modules on the upper right of the controller. Turned it off.
