Hi there!
I wanted to follow up here on this Shapeoko 5 Pro thread since I commented regarding an issue with my machine about a week ago. I was having issues with the Bitsetter probe constantly being “Active” in Carbide Motion which prevented me from being able to properly setup the Bitsetter (despite using the “fixed” wiring for the front-plate and Bitsetter extensions that were sent to me separately from the Carbide team).
Support initially thought my Bitsetter unit was faulty, but we discovered that a replacement unit did not resolve the issue. After some more investigation, it was discovered that my Switch connector which plugs into the control board for the Shapeoko 5 Pro was incorrectly wired. Shoutout to @SLCJedi for sending me some photos of his connector which helped me expedite the troubleshooting with support. I am certain that this was probably a fluke and is likely not to happen with other units, but I wanted to share a photo for reference in case anyone runs into a similar issue when setting up your machine and have checked connections on the other side of things. The support team sent me a new wiring harness several days ago and I’m now fully operational with the machine and could not be happier. Thank you, Carbide 3D team!
