I don’t own this Cnc yesterday, but I’m hoping to. I’m wondering if I can use Illustrator for the design work. Does anyone have any experience doing this?
Hi @Eveabreu,
Yes, you can use Illustrator and then export vectors as an SVG file and import that in Carbide Create, to then create the CNC part (toolpaths) there.
The only trick is to export at 96dpi resolution to preserve scaling during Carbide Create import.

To get the correct size out of Adobe Illustrator one must export the SVG, and check the “Responsive” checkbox in current versions — it is these steps which will result in 96ppi export and the correct size in Carbide Create.
