Is my Shapeoko 5 Pro Dead?

Went into the garage to perform some cuts; flipped on the power supply, and while the LED on the unit lit up, I noticed that the fan never spun up. The machine appeared to receive power as all the gantry illumination came on. However, when I went to connect, I received the following Carbide Motion error message:

“The machine controller did not respond. Please make sure your machine is powered on.”

I’ve since unplugged and re-seated ALL the cables, replaced the USB cable, and reinstalled the software. Still the same error message. Is anyone familiar with this?

I think your best bet is to contact support@carbide3d.com. Include a full description of the issue.

The fan only spins up if the temperature exceeds a certain threshold.

I see your ticket in the queue, and we’ll do our best to respond there as quickly as possible.
