Is my X homing switch installed properly? It's not touching anything

IDK how I’ve been using this for over a year, but just replaced a part, and updated Carbide Motion. Hit the homing button and stuttered on the X axis. Went to check it, and realized it doesn’t make contact with anything.

Looking through the assembly guide again, I see that it’s mounted on the “back” of the plate, but it still wouldn’t matter if I move it. There’s still a good inch or so.

Thanks Will, I had the Y and X plates switched. Just fixed it and works great, thanks for the quick reply.
