My machine is in my shop and in an enclosure. It is less than a year old and I am getting slammed with rust on the rails. I keep up with the maintenance. How can I prevent this? I clean everything down on a daily basis.

What is the best thing to use to remove the rust? I don’t want to scratch anything.
Usually a Scotchbrite pad and a suitable oil — just don’t change the profile of the bearing portion of the rails.
