Issue after installing Carbide Motion 636

Hey All,

I just installed CM 636 but now I keep getting this error:

I tried setting up the machine twice and used different CC files but each time I get the same result.

Could someone please help?

Many thanks,
Gunter

This is a warning as noted at:

Where is the origin set in file? Job Setup

How and where are you securing the stock and setting zero relative to it? Movements + Zeroing

What is the safety/retract height set to?

Are you using a BitSetter? What length of tool is being used to set zero?

Please try:

  • moving the stock and zero >18.5mm to the left
  • reducing the safety/retract height by >16.6mm and using a shorter tool to set the origin

If you continue to have difficulties please upload your .c2d file and take a photo showing the stock secured on your machine and with the machine at the zero position or a specified offset from that position.

Thank you for your quick reply Will, I changed my zero and it all works great now!
