I’m just noting some feedback that may be helpful to add to assembly manual:
- It wasn’t obvious that one should not use the rear holes for the rear beam, on the base frame. there’s an extra set of holes on the y-left and y-right assembles that are not used on the 4x4 5.1 pro. oops, will need to confirm square after moving the rear beam forward to the correct holes
- When attaching the legs to the base frame, a dental pick or something is needed to get the bits of metal out of the threaded holes. there was some metal shavings left that made the screws try to cross-thread. after the first leg, I cleared out the shavings and had no further issues.
I’ll anything else I come across as I finish assembly and run my first test projects tomorrow. Overall first impression is quite favorable. I’ve built a bunch of kits over the years, this machine and instructions are quite good.
I’ll also attach some photos showing the issues, so ya’ll can either point out how I missed the obvious, or the pics can explain where my verbiage fails
