I ordered two new bits, a .031 and .062. I can’t get over how thin the .031 is! I’m afraid to run it. Any tips on speeds and feeds before I run this thing. I’m still searching online, but haven’t found anything yet.
Thanks!

Material you will run it in?

Figure out your recommended chiploads and adjust runout.
I use bits down to 0.0090" in hardwoods at 20 to 30 IPM feed and 15-20 IPM plunge speeds and 22-24,000 RPM.
Here is a video of me cutting a mermaid in a curly maple cribbage board with a 0.0120" 2 flute end mill. For your ears’ sake , just turn off the volume. I believe it was at 20 IPM feed and 15 IPM plunge at ~24,000 RPM
EDIT: It was an 0.0100" bit, and here’s the finished mermaid.
Mostly pine board for now. Maybe plywood at some point. Probably a depth of .050 also.
@MadHatter .0090
that’s a sewing needle. My old eyes won’t be able to see that. I’ll check out the video. Thanks!
