Kreg universal rails for xxl table

Just received my first cnc yesterday, shapeoko 4 xxl. I’d like to assemble this weekend but need a table. Will the Kreg universal work rails 44” x 44” be large enough to support the whole xxl machine? I can pick up the Kreg stuff locally today, but I wanted to be sure that set up will be large enough. Otherwise I’d need to go rectangle vs square and so 64” x 44” but my workshop space is limited so I’d rather not go bigger if I don’t have to.

44x44 will overhang a bit side-to-side:

  • Footprint: 50" (X), 41" (Y), 19" (Z)

but should work — the bottom extrusions run side-to-side.

I’m torn - do you think the overhang will impact the stability or accuracy

I have mine on a sheet of foam on two rather rickety tables and it seems fine.

Ah yes, nothing but the bare minimum for “non-essential” design specifications. That’s what I’m talking about! :rofl:
