I sort of hate to bring up the competition, but VCarving doesn’t get a lot better than this. I regularly make use of the little bit in place of a big bit feature, stuck with a small router in a small space, followed by a light finishing pass. It’s working pretty well trying to simulate chip carving with, well, chippy wood. Sure, it’s more time than one pass with a big honking bit, but then you don’t need the honker. I faked a finishing pass in V6 by zeroing high and running the job, then rezeroing and doing a full depth toolpath, but that’s a kluge.
Something like this could move CC to the top of the v-carving heap
