I would love to have the ability to add a “thicker” grid line at 1" or 1cm (or even have the ability to customize spacing myself). This would help enable easier design spacing in CC.

Not a bad idea- this might need to wait for V9, when we change the file format.

When is that…next week? 
You’ll note that in last few releases that we’re trying to clear out the “free changes” that do not require a change to the file format version. I hope we can move on “soon.”
