Largest sizes of aluminum stock available locally to folks?

A new local hardware store to me opened up recently, and it stocks some larger stock:

  • Pipe Bar, Flat, 6061-T6 Anodized Aluminum, 4 ft Length, 2 in Width, 3/8 in Thickness
  • Pipe Bar, Flat, 6061-T6 Anodized Aluminum, 4 ft Length, 1-1/2 in Width, 1/2 in Thickness

which I’m planning on picking up the next time I have occasion to go there.

What are the largest sizes available to folks? Before this, the usual source I could find easily was (and still is) 1/8" or 1/4" thick bar stock from Home Depot or Lowe’s, e.g.,

We have a metal supermarket. I think it’s either a chain or a franchise. Charleston Welcomes Metal Supermarkets, The World’s Leading Small Quantity Metal Provider - Metal Supermarkets

Yeah, unfortunately, there isn’t one near me (and I suspect many folks here) — though I’m glad of your mentioning them, 'cause there is a store just a bit more then 30 miles from me in York. Road trip time!

Like @cheu, I have an online metals warehouse near me - https://www.onlinemetals.com/, but believe it or not, I have had better pricing from https://www.midweststeelsupply.com/store/ when I have purchased aluminum sheet and plate in 12" x 24" pieces - since I only have the SO3 XXL, and the shipping cost goes vertical when you want bigger pieces.

EDIT: But, when you want full 20ft sticks of extruded / hot / cold rolled profiles to make something, there is nothing like free shipping to their warehouse instead of having to pay the same for shipping as the material.

I get cutoffs from a local metal supply company.
Much cheaper and the same material.
