Last minute cutting boards

I had to remind myself why I dislike making these so much, but love the end result. I wanted to do some inlay work, but they opted not to.

What are you finishing with?

Walrus Oil. It’s food grade and works pretty well.

I have not researched walnut oil but in general food oils can turn rancid. Never use olive oil or the like. A lot of people use mineral oil because it does not turn rancid.

If these are gifts please advise the recipients to not put the cutting boards in the dishwasher. Hand wash only and sanitize after use. Putting a wooden cutting board in the dishwasher is the kiss of death for them. They will chip, crack and separate. FYI
