Less sensitive Edit Nodes

When I’m editing nodes I find a very small misalignment with my mouse will cause it to exit the editor. Am I doing something wrong?
I’m on a mm scale, adjusting a chamfer inset boundary to my bowl bit. So I need to remove the excess nodes, and then create a curve that more approximates my tool size (1in). As I’m trying to click a node it will exit if i’m more than ~10 pixels away from the dot. This happens a lot.

I would prefer it if instead of exiting it would stay in the editor until I press Done, or use a very large distance as a request to exit the Edit Nodes mode.

Edit: Just found I can shift and drag a box for multi-node selection - its a little faster now! still kicks me out as i try to adjust a node to be smooth and then drag it to where it needs to be.

You are not doing anything wrong. I frequently accidentally cause the selected object to become deselected and it exits out of edit node. One thing I have found is you can sweep several nodes and then erase them together as a group. I discovered that by accident. You just drag the mouse over several nodes you want to delete.

The root could be your mouse settings. I dont want to constantly change the mouse settings and use the same mouse settings all the time. What has also helped is to really zoom in on the nodes I want to manipulate. That helps with the precision of selecting individual nodes.
