Is there anyone in West Michigan near Grand Rapids that has a Shapeoko? I have a Pro 5 4X4. I’m looking to pay a visit and just get some pointers! I’ve watched videos until my eyes cross. 3D is something i definitely want to get in to. Yes, I purchased the subscription. I hear that ETSY isn’t really good source for 3D files? But CUT ROCKET is? I just need to meet with someone, anyone, because I learn by seeing. Anyone? At this point I’m willing to drive 3-4 hours and stay in a hotel if that’s what has to happen. I even asked the tech guys at Carbide if they have hands on training in California? I have a 100 watt CO2 and they have local training all around the USA. I have an 80 watt MOPA fiber…same thing. Shapeoko? Not so much. So that’s why I’m looking for a kind soul to help me. Thanks, Richie Campbell
Have you done your 4 sessions of one-on-one video training?
Included with the machine:
4, 30 minute 1-on-1 training sessions with a Carbide 3D expert via video chat
Yes sir. But being in person asking questions works better for me
Just keep playing around with it & You’ll get the hang of it. There is TONS of info on here & on YT from various people about how to even get started & making your first project. If you stick with it & are seriously about it then it will pay off!! Best of luck!!
Hey Randy. Thank you for your very kind email. Yes I am very serious about it so I will stick with it. I own an engraving business where I have some pretty expensive machines from CO2 lasers as well as fiber lasers. I had to sell on those so I can do the same thing with the CNC. I basically just have some dumb questions that I’m sure I’ll retain. The first one was how to find your zero. So I finally learned how to do that. I know that sounds funny but it’s all new to me. Thank you again It’s nice to know that there’s people out there like you who are great cheerleaders, and , help people like me gain a new perspective. There are times when I would just hang it up for the day and come in totally defeated. But I’ll get it. Thank you again, sir
