Locking Files possible?

Is there a way to lock a file in Carbide create so that it can not be changed unless unlocked. I have had a few files that I have created, assigned tool paths and am happy with. Then for some reason they get changed. Must be me thinking I’m tweaking. I would like to be able to lock the file to stop myself.

You can lock layers, so long as at least one is unlocked.

Probably it would be better to make the underlying file read only in your operating system’s file system — then it couldn’t be changed.

You can lock the file in the OS. If you modify the file you would need to “save as” to save the changes.

In windows left click and go to properties.

Click the Read Only check box.

Not a MAC user but likely a similar process.
