Lost adapter for router

Lost adapter for the router in a move, anyone have an extra that I could buy as it seems it is no longer offered by Carbide 3D.

Very sorry to hear about this difficulty.

If you’ll contact us at support@carbide3d.com we’ll do our best to work this out with you.

If you have a 3D printer, there are a quite few Makita adaptors on thingiverse if you search. One of them resembles the one that comes with the Shapeoko.

The original so3 didn’t come with one, I 3d printed my own and it is still in service, if you have a 3d printer that’s a good option. Or speak nicely with support and they’ll likely help you out

Another option for making one is to source a suitable diameter of aluminum tubing — Imperial seems a bit thin-walled, but metric 70mm is supposed to be available in 2mm wall thickness which is perfect.

It just dawned on me, little slow on the uptake at 73, why not pay you to print one as you already have a proven model. The Makita is 2.55 inch Dia the 500 Watt spindle I prefer is 2.05 Inch Dia. The spindle is quite and cuts at 30 to 50 imp in wood. I take my time cutting and get very accurate and clean cuts.
I had a Creality 3D but have too much fun with cc and the Creality takes too much darn fiddling to get a print. I gave the thing to the local Make school at the college.

Will, as usual your helpful. The gang at Carbide has solved my problem so thanks all for the support. I’ll be posting some photos of my cnc box I built. It will get dirty as soon as the adapter comes in. Stutaylo, my friend needless to say I no longer need a 3D part but thanks for the advice.

Glad you got it sorted! Maybe you could give the problem to the local make school to ‘solve’ as a project?

Plain forgot about that. I gave the 3d and the cnc to help them never thought about them helping me. DUH! Good call
