Lost my 112 bit on Day 7

Day 7 with my Shapeoko 5 Pro 4x2 and lost my first endmill. No really. I was changing between 112 to 121 and tried to be quick about it and dropped the 112. I have used a flashlight, pulled up my mats, dug around on hands and knees, but no luck. Shapeoko 1, Me 0 LOL. Note to self, keep extra end mills for loss, not just breakage. Maybe thats why Carbide 3 sells them in packs of 3 (1 extra for breaks, 1 extra for OG loss LOL).
Anyone else out there enjoy this loving lost bit CNC phenomenon?

Try a magnetic pickup tool? They usually turn up when you aren’t actually looking for them.

For some reason when I drop something on the floor look in the opposite direction you think it bounced. about 75% of the time the part is not where I thought it would be. :grinning:

I am betting it’s outside a 8 ft diameter.

Anthony’s Law of the Workshop: Any tool, when dropped, will roll into the least accessible corner of the workshop.
