Machine doesnt go further stops inthe midle

Hello

My machine when is initializing stops in the midle and doest come to the front if i try to do it manualy it doesnt move more then y400 and x100.

Yesterday was completely fine… If i try to setup the machine again in the part of the bit setter happens the same the machine stops there like the photo and goes down assuming the bit setter is on that position.

Can someone help me?

Please try re-running the Machine Setup Wizard:

https://carbide3d.com/hub/docs/shapeoko-setup/

if that doesn’t help, check in w/ the folks at support.

I’ve had this happen randomly on my S5 Pro 4x4. It all of the sudden thinks it’s a 4x2. As Will said, rerunning the machine setup and selecting 4x4 should fix the issue.

Hello Will, i already did that, but in the part where i have to set the bit zero it happens the same… the machine doesn’t come closer than that so i can set the bit zero…

My machine is a shapeoko pro with z plus…vthis never happened before

Have you lubricated the linear rails and bearings? A lot of friction on them can cause a lot of weird issues.

Don’t apologize, the important thing is you reached out for help when needed and then followed up with the resolution for all of us. There are lots of folks that just learned something from your experience.

Thank you.

I think here the problem isn’t that you forgot to save the selection. The problem is that it was even possible to not save the selection.

There should be a confirmation if you are exiting the new machine wizard without saving.
