On the first one I would assume you were trying to get a sandblasted finish? You can probably find someone with a blast cabinet to do that for you, it might be possible on the machine but it would take a ridiculously long time.
the second image you should be able to make just by doing some sort of rub on or oil lacquer crayon and then polish the high parts.

You might try a light etching. The lower pic looks like the entire pattern was etched. Possible true of the upper piece as well. hard to tell from the small pic. I did a bunch of etching last summer, it’s pretty easy if you don’t need too much depth.
