Manually making cuts?

I used to be able to surface missed portions on large panels. Now when set my depth to where I want it, Turn the spindle on and start to move it with the jog function the spindle turns off. Is there a new safety update that I am not aware of? this was a handy feature to make quick cuts without having to create a cut file. ANyone else run into this?

Where are you located? There has been some discussion that some of the European Makita models will not turn back on unless the power switch is cycled from on to off to back on. It seems to be some built in safety feature that if you are running those models and unplug the router and leave the switch on it will not power back up when plugged back in with out the power switch being switched off and back on.

That is basically what happens with the BitRunner because the power is cut (unplugged) and then when you start a job the power is put back on and the European Makita routers will not automatically turn back on without the power switch recycling.

There are specific models of Makita in Europe that have this “Safety Feature” . I have not seen anyone else discuss your issue of jogging and their router turn off.

I will be using my Shapeoko later today and will try jogging with the router running to see if my router turns off. I am using the latest CM.

So I disabled the bitrunner and it will cut manually with no problem. The funny thing is it worked just fine previously. I think it has to do with that piece of hardware.
