I noticed that my drop down list for materials is missing several materials that I’ve seen listed in videos. Not sure what I’m missing. I’m using the free version of carbide create. Build 648. Do I need to buy the paid version? If not, how do I add other materials such as mdf?
No, the Pro version does not add any materials — the Free has the same.
There was a consolidation of materials w/ similar feed rates, hence the fewer listing in current versions, but you should be able to cut the same things as before, just under a different name.
MDF still shows up in the simulation dialog. (Although the images don’t look that great. Lighting is direct top, contrast is lacking, and it’s in perspective view. My engineer brain hates perspective!!)
