Max product cut depth

I have a board that is 1.25" thick. What is the max depth I can cut safely. Thanks

Depends on:

  • workholding — secure enough, but low enough to be cleared?
  • endmill and flute length — see: https://docs.carbide3d.com/support/#tooling-support
  • part geometry — is the top fo the stock low enough to allow the necessary length of endmill over it? Is the tallest section shorter than the flutes?
