Hi group,
What is the maximum speed that the machine can achieve?
It look like it is 5000 from my test but I can not see it anywhere on the web site.

Odd they don’t include feedrates in the specs. I believe it’s 200ipm (5080mmpm) for XY and 100ipm (2540mmpm) for Z
200 ipm as configured by carbide.
You can change the grbl settings and get 275 ipm. That’s firmware max.
And it is set to that in the firmware because the microcontroller they are using cannot generate step pulses higher than that.
I also recently asked the same question. Here are several excellent responses. Max feed speed on Pro 5
Having pushed it to the max recently, I feel the responses are very accurate. I run it for HDU at 7000 mm/minute. And that is slightly above what it can do. I’ve hit the increase speed feed rate and it doesn’t go any faster.
Hey Folks. Newbie here…Is there a way to increase the XY speed while homing? Seems incredibly slow.
You don’t want to increase it. You will cause the machine to over run the switches and you’ll loose accuracy.
Rapid the machine to homing position before shutting down and you won’t have to worry about homing speed s.
