Charles, what kind of “pressure” (Z-zero offset) did you put on the etch?

.015 theoretically (on the software). But on acrylic I always add .003 after what my paper zero indicates. The McEtchers spring loaded tip doesn’t seem to mind and I don’t get any light etching when the cast acrylic is less than the .185 advertised.

I use the .015 DOC, and 1 turn on the McEtcher to star, then play with the spring in the McEtcher to adjust ( as well as the DOC ). 2 turns is a lot
